Sarasin launches new office and private banking team
Bank Sarasin, the Swiss private bank, has been given the green light to launch its new office the Swiss, Berne. The bank said it will build a new private banking team to service wealthy clients in the region.
The Swiss Federal Banking Commission approved the bank's request for approval today.
"The Berne region provides extremely interesting growth perspectives for Bank Sarasin", said Eric Sarasin, head of private and institutional clients at the Switzerland division. "We want to exploit these opportunities and furthe strengthen our position as a leading Swiss Private Bank by opening a new branch office in Berne."
The bank did not comment further on the size of the team or whether it would be incorporate any new hires.
