Top Romanian bank posts 60% growth in private banking AuM

Romanian Commercial Bank, the biggest bank in Romania, has reported a 60% growth in assets managed by its private banking division over the last 12 months.

Alex Titus Dumitrescu, manager of BCR’s private banking unit, said clients assets topped €1bn ($1.6bn). "The largest accounts of our clients exceed the equivalent of ten million euros," Dumitrescu said.

More than 4,000 businessmen use the services offered by the 30 private banking managers of BCR. The number of the clients of the BCR "personal bankers" has increased by almost 50% in the past year and their average portfolio is about €250,000.
