US private equity firm unveils wealth venture for HNW clients

Iron Capital Holdings, a self-proclaimed "venture focused private-equity-services firm", has unveiled a unit called Iron Capital Wealth Management to offer advisory services to high-net-worth individuals, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.

Apart from providing "more traditional investment strategies" along the lines of long-term portfolio management and tax and estate planning, the San Francisco-based start-up will serve as a conduit for individual clients seeking to offload shares and options in privately held companies in the secondary market.
