Coutts sells prime office space in London

Coutts, the UK wealth manager, has sold its main office in Cavendish Square in the heart of London’s West End for an undisclosed sum, although it will continue to have a presence in the square.

The buyer of 16 Cavendish Square is believed to the private equity group Hamilton Bradshaw, owned by one of the UK’s best known entrepreneurs, James Caan.

Caan is one of the five entrepreneurs on the local TV show called Dragons Den, which features budding entrepreneurs pitching their ideas to the panel of multi-millionaire business owners.

A spokeswoman for Coutts said the bank continues to own the property immediately next door at 15 Cavendish Square.

Apart from its headquarters in the Strand, Coutts has offices in four other locations in London.
