Report predicts fall in charitable donations to nonprofit groups

Charitable contributions to the 400 biggest nonprofit groups are likely to fall 9% this year, The Chronicle of Philanthropy predicted, marking the steepest decline since the publication began compiling records in 1992, according to The Wall Street Journal’s Wealth Report.

Stacy Palmer, editor of the Chronicle, said that there won’t be a real recovery in the sector for “at least two more years”.
