French fashion designer tops dead celebrity earning rankings

Yves Saint Laurent has topped Forbes' 2009 rankings of the Top-Earning Dead Celebrities, beating Michael Jackson and Elvis Presley, according to a report in The Guardian, London.

The fashion designer earned $350m (€237.6m) thanks to the sale of a major portion of his estate via Christie's, Forbes said. Jackson has already generated afterlife earnings of $90m, the magazine estimated.
