Wealthy Spaniards revive interest in stocks and property

Wealthy Spaniards have resumed purchasing equities, encouraged by a decoupling of the stock market from the real economy, and are also eyeing prime overseas property assets, according to a Reuters report.

The "massive correction" in the London real-estate sector is driving affluent Spanish investors' interest, said Alfonso Gomez, the Spanish head of Private Banking at BBVA, adding the pound’s depreciation against the euro also offered an “additional yield".
