Paulson appoints high-profile gold analysts for new fund

John Paulson has appointed two renowned gold analysts, John Reade and Victor Flores, for his new bullion fund set to be launched in January, according to a report in The Wall Street Journal.

Reade, who previously served as head of UBS’ precious-metal strategy division before a brief stint with Credit Suisse last month, will join Paulson & Co.’s London arm in mid-January. Flores, a senior mining analyst with HSBC, has joined the New York unit.
