Credit Suisse takes third top banker from Coutts

Credit Suisse private bank has hired its third senior banker from Coutts private bank in six months.

Jeremy Hippolite joins as a director and product specialist in asset management for the private bank's multi asset class solution business.

At Coutts he was senior specialist in private banking responsible for helping ultra-high net worth clients plan and manage their investment portfolios and advising on a wide range of investment products.

Michael Pinggera, director and head of multi asset class solutions for the asset management business in the UK, said: “Jeremy brings over 20 years experience in financial services and we are delighted that he is joining us. We are looking forward to him making a strong contribution, adding value for our clients and delivering additional capability for the MACS team.”

In February, Credit Suisse hired Nick Keenan as a relationship manager for the midlands in the UK, based in Nottingham. He was a senior financial planning specialist at Coutts.

Three weeks before the Swiss bank hired Mark Lucas from Coutts as a relationship manager in the UK's south-west region.

Brummel

Relocation, relocation, relocation

Banks have never been shy of firing staff at the merest whiff of a downturn. First the fat, then the muscle and finally the bone. In the past, cuts have been so deep that firms have found it hard to benefit when the markets rebounded, paying over the odds to restaff at speed. Such wild oscillations in staffing numbers are known as “doing a Merrill”.
