Fink eyes stunning City comeback with Lord Levy in ISAM role

Stanley Fink, former boss of Man Group, will assume the role of chief executive of International Standard Asset Management, which has also hired Lord "Cashpoint" Michael Levy to become chairman of the UK commodities trader, according to a report in The Sunday Telegraph, London.

Fink will oversee the development of systematic processes at ISAM, besides leading the management and marketing structure of the business.

For Lord Levy, the former Labour treasurer, this will mark his first high-profile role since being embroiled in Labour's cash-for-honours' scandal in 2006.

Mayfair goes Modern

Sebastian + Barquet, a three-year old design gallery based in New York and Chelsea, is opening a new gallery showing museum quality pieces in Mayfair next month, the first in London to focus on international modernism from the 1940s to the 1960s. Its opening exhibition is dedicated to American modernist design and is curated by celebrated architect Eric Parry.

New York financier backs social networking portal for millionaires

Frank DeRose, the New York financier in charge of Furrata Capital, plans to invest at least $1m (€791,922) of his own money into Total Prestige, a 15-year-old worldwide social-networking company aimed at establishing an exclusive online community for millionaires, according to a report in New York Post.
