Credit Suisse has bolstered its UK asset management business with the hire of a new chief executive for asset management in the UK and Ireland.
Credit Suisse announced the appointment of David Norman to the newly created role based in London, reporting to JC Perrig, head of Europe, Middle East and Africa for the Swiss bank's asset management business.
Norman joins from Morley Fund Management where he was director of marketing and products. He brings a wealth of retail and institutional experience from a number of firms in the UK.
Prior to his role at Morley, Norman was divisional managing director for insight investments, retail and group marketing director for ISIS asset management and head of retail business development for prudential portfolio management.
Perrig said: "Despite turbulent markets, we have made significant progress in the UK recently with all our UK equity income products being top quartile, our multi-manager team launching two popular new multi-asset funds over 12 months and new UK fixed income and UK property teams now firmly established."
