Julius Baer continues UK push with new head of sales

Julius Baer, the Swiss private bank, has taken on a new head of sales in the UK to focus on expanding UK client relationships.

Stephen Moore will report to Beat Egger, managing director and head of sales international, and will be based in London.

Moore joins from Threadneedle Asset Management where he held a number of senior roles over the past five years. Most recently, Stephen was director to financial institutions, where he was responsible for implementing distribution strategies for Threadneedle’s funds and developing and maintaining wholesale relationships.

Beat Egger said: “Stephen’s appointment is a clear demonstration of our intentions in the UK and a significant boost to our goal of becoming a leading provider of innovative investment solutions to the UK investment market.”

He added that Moore joins the investment products distribution team, and will be working with Rainer Gruenig, who has been with Julius Baer for more than seven years. Gruenig headed the marketing and communications department within the investment products division in Switzerland before relocating to London to become head of business development in the UK.

Another member of the team is Patrick Buri, who as a salesperson shares responsibilities for promoting Julius Baer investment products to family offices and smaller wealth managers in the UK.
