Kleinwort Benson hires new regional head

Kleinwort Benson, the UK private bank, has hired a 16-year wealth management veteran as its new head of private wealth management for UK regions, from rival HSBC.

Colin Rowe joins the bank after a 16-year spell at HSBC, where he worked in a variety of positions, most recently as regional commercial investment and insurance manager for the West Midlands and Wales.

Rowe will have responsibility for managing Kleinwort Benson’s growing regional network of private wealth management teams, reporting to Mark Hussein, head of private wealth management. Rowe’s appointment comes shortly after the opening of two new offices in Cambridge and Leeds, expanding the bank's existing regional footprint in Edinburgh, Newbury, Birmingham and Manchester.
