Barclays Wealth scoops Citi risk heavyweights

Barclays Wealth has made two senior hires for its compliance business from rival Citigroup.

Dominic Stearns joins as managing director and global head of compliance. He joins from Citigroup, where he held the position of global chief compliance officer for its private banking activities since 2005, having joined the firm from SG Warburg in 1995. Carmen Menendez-Puerto joins as managing director, head of financial crime, Barclays Wealth Americas. Menendez-Puerto also joins from Citigroup, where she led their global anti-money laundering programme across all wealth management activities.

She will report to Alan Williams, global head of financial crime.
