McCann rules out paying ‘high bid’ to lure Wall Street talent

UBS will not pay the most on Wall Street to lure talent, Robert McCann, the Swiss bank’s new chief of wealth management in the Americas, told Bloomberg Television on Tuesday.

McCann said that while UBS would compensate staff in a fair manner, he doesn’t want people working with the firm for the sole reason that “we are the high bid in the market”.
