UBS private banker quits for Deutsche

A member of UBS' key clients group within its wealth management unit has resigned to join Deutsche Bank Private Wealth Management.

Natasa Williams has quit her role as a director on the key clients group at UBS Wealth Management, for an as yet unconfirmed role at Deutsche Bank.

A source said she was a "top producer on the key clients group."

Deutsche Bank's wealth management arm is looking to take on a number of quality London-based staff within the next few months, according to the bank.

Relocation, relocation, relocation

Banks have never been shy of firing staff at the merest whiff of a downturn. First the fat, then the muscle and finally the bone. In the past, cuts have been so deep that firms have found it hard to benefit when the markets rebounded, paying over the odds to restaff at speed. Such wild oscillations in staffing numbers are known as “doing a Merrill”.
