Barclays Wealth hires director from ABN

Barclays Wealth has hired a new director of private clients for its Indian business from rival ABN Amro.

Deepak Rattan joins from ABN where he had been since the inception of the private banking business in India in July 2002.

He will be based in Mumbai and will report into Satya Bansal, CEO of Barclays Wealth, India.

Mayfair goes Modern

Sebastian + Barquet, a three-year old design gallery based in New York and Chelsea, is opening a new gallery showing museum quality pieces in Mayfair next month, the first in London to focus on international modernism from the 1940s to the 1960s. Its opening exhibition is dedicated to American modernist design and is curated by celebrated architect Eric Parry.
