BDO Stoy Hayward head of private clients steps down

The head of private client business at investment manager BDO Stoy Hayward has stepped down.

After three years at the firm John Porteous is being replaced by Simon Davis, who is being promoted from head of strategic wealth management. BDO Stoy Hayward said Porteous plans to "pursue other opportunities".

Davis has been with BDO Stoy Hayward Investment Management since 1998, and previously co-managed the firm's Fitzwilliam Balanced Growth fund.

He reports to Richard Spilg, chief executive of BDO Stoy Hayward Investment Management.
