World’s richest in secret meet to discuss philanthropy

Eleven of the world's richest people, including Warren Buffett and Bill Gates, met secretly on May 5 at the private residence of the president of Rockefeller University in New York to discuss the future of philanthropy amid the ongoing global economic crisis, according to a report in The Daily Telegraph, London.

It remains unclear if the participants - also including Oprah Winfrey, Michael Bloomberg and George Soros - considered working together on a charitable basis.
